The Footprint Tracker
Building Sustainability's Footprint Tracker is a Management Information System which collects all information about the energy usage of a building and its occupiers. It calculates the energy cost and the resultant carbon footprint and presents everything in an easy-to-understand web-accessible dashboard format.
The Footprint Tracker can display information by total estate, single building, zone or individual.
By measuring and presenting the actual use and cost of energy, i.e. the resulting Carbon Footprint, occupants, building managers and building designers are made aware of energy consumption and are incentivised to introduce energy efficient solutions.
A unique feature of the Footprint Tracker is that it can automatically manage the use of energy by controlling Lighting, HVAC, Computers, and other energy consuming equipment based on Personal Profiles and Preferences and the actual location of people.
